On the 16 October 2018 we held the first Key Debates In Child Psychotherapy event which we hope will be the start of an important new series that will help to shape the future of child and adolescent psychotherapy.
The focus for this first debate was on how current dominant research paradigms are impacting on the direction of child psychotherapy as a public service, and how we should respond. The panel was chaired by Peter Wilson with a keynote presentation from Ruth Schmidt Neven followed by individual responses from Jocelyn Catty, Elizabeth Edginton and Nick Midgley.
For those who were not able to attend the debate, we are making available the audio recording here: Where next for research into the evidence of effectiveness in psychoanalytic child psychotherapy?
