Organisation & Governance

The ACP is organised as a private company limited by guarantee and governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for ensuring the organisation meets its core functions of protecting the public and promoting the profession, as well as ensuring the good governance of the organisation.

The Board sets the ACP’s strategic vision and policy and provides strong leadership to guide the organisation in delivering its objectives. The delivery of the Board’s aims and policies is led by the Chief Executive and a small staff team including the Business Manager, Events and Development Manager, and Membership Engagement and Administrative Officer. Each Executive Director is responsible for a specific area of the organisation. In addition there are a small number of officers in remunerated roles and then a larger number of members working for the ACP in a voluntary capacity.

The Rules of the Association of Child Psychotherapists and key policies, as well as annual reports, details of ACP Board meetings and the AGM can be found in this section.
