ADOLESCENT DEPRESSION: REAL CONVERSATIONS ABOUT WHAT WORKS NOW
This Association of Child Psychotherapists event on adolescent depression is open to all professionals working with, or interested in the mental health of young people, including those responsible for commissioning services. It will be held on the 6 October 2017 at Birmingham Aston University Conference Centre.
The programme begins with a presentation on diagnostic, neuro-biological and developmental research followed by presentations on the NICE recommended treatment, the Short Term Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (STPP) model of work with severe adolescent depression and their parents. Effective interventions underpinned by psychoanalytic approaches and shaped by multi-disciplinary clinical research will be the focus of this conference.
Presenters include Julia Britton, Lynne Conway, Deborah Marks, Bob Maxfield, in collaboration with Forward Thinking Birmingham service users and Dan McQueen.
