The ACP is hosting an event on Adolescent Depression - Friday October 6 in Birmingham. The event is open to Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists as well as multi-disciplinary clinicians, service managers and commissioners. The programme will begin with a presentation on diagnostic, neuro-biological and developmental research followed by presentations on the NICE recommended Short Term Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (STPP) treatment model for young people who are suffering from severe depression and with their parents.
Effective interventions underpinned by psychoanalytic approaches and shaped by multi-disciplinary clinical research will be the focus of this conference and presenters include Julia Britton, Lynne Conway, Deborah Marks and Dan McQueen. The event is organised in collaboration with Forward Thinking Birmingham where service users will describe their experience of an innovative drop- in service.
This is an exciting opportunity to hear about this innovative and evidenced based treatment model. Follow us on Twitter to find out more or share experiences of being at the conference. During the conference we will be using #treatthemright.
