OXPIP Lecture Series 2015 - Mentalising in Movement: How parental embodied mentalising (PEM) can inform The Importance of Parent-Infant Research and Therapy

DR DANA SHAI  is director of the Parent and Infant Relations (PAIR) Institute, IDC Herzliya, Israel. A graduate of Tel Aviv University, Dr. Shai completed her Ph.D. in Clinical-Developmental Psychology at Birkbeck. She completed her MSc. in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology at the Anna Freud Centre. She is Research Fellow at the School of Psychology at the IDC Herzliya, where she teaches parent-infant relations, infant normative and non optimal development, and early interventions. Dr. Shai leads the PAIR research lab in which she and her team conduct a longitudinal research in the field of parent-infant relations, mentalising, emotion regulation, family dynamics, and the transition to parenthood. Dr. Shai has published a number of peer reviewed papers and articles.
