Aims of the training day:

The training will explore the power of early experiences and how these shape us, setting templates for relationships that we carry with us throughout life. With pregnancy and birth these relationship experiences can be passed from one generation to the next. The day will draw on psychoanalytic and psychodynamic understanding to think about how in our work we can recognise these patterns, and helpfully intervene in community settings, by exploring the questions such as what does the client bring from their history to their relationship with their child and what do we as professionals bring from our own history?
