Heather Stewart is now a retired member of the profession, but continues to have some supervision, consultation and training commitments. Her last position was as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist in Dudley and Walsall Mental Health NHS Trust, where she was the Child Psychotherapy lead across two CAMHS teams. In her new role as Chair of the ACP, she aims to keep the ACP’s focus on children and psychoanalytical thinking. Her background is in education, where she held a variety of roles, both academic and pastoral. She has been the ACP honorary secretary for the last three and a half years. “I look forward to a collaborative journey with the ACP, seeing it grow as an organisation that affects positive change, not only for our members but also for the public".
